Exhibition Overview

As part of the Spillcon Conference, an exhibition of response equipment and service suppliers will be held from Monday 23 August to Thursday 26 August 2004. The Exhibition provides organisations with an excellent opportunity to showcase equipment and services to Conference delegates who:

• Buy the equipment for government, industry and spill
response cooperatives,
• Use the equipment for training and spill response,
• Undertake risk analysis, and
• Produce spill response plans which will take into account
equipment available.

Features of the Exhibition include:

• The Welcome Reception, which will be held in the Exhibition Area
on Monday 23 August 2004
• Morning and afternoon teas served in the Exhibition Area
• Lunch served in the Exhibition Area on Tuesday 24 August and
Thursday 26 August 2004
• The Exhibition will be open every day of the Conference.

Poster Sessions

During morning and afternoon teas of the Conference, poster sessions covering a range of relevant issues will be presented. The sessions will consist of a small static display of posters, photographs and/or information sheets. Details on scheduled sessions will be provided in the Conference handbook.

On Water Display

The Spillcon On Water Display will be carried out on the spectacular Brisbane River on Wednesday 25 August. Just a short stroll from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre to the water’s edge, delegates will be treated to a display of on water spill response equipment. A static display of response equipment will also be held in the Suncorp Piazza on South Bank where lunch will be provided after the On Water Display.
