Environmental Analyst, Maritime Safety

JULIAN
ROBERTS, has a MSc in Marine Resource Management from the
Institute of Offshore Engineering, Edinburgh.
He has spent the past 7 years working in the
fields of coastal zone management and pollution control, both
in the private sector and with central and local government.
More latterly he has been employed by the Maritime Safety
Authority of New Zealand as a marine pollution adviser and
environmental policy analyst.
This role resulted in his appointment as environmental
advisor to the National Oil Spill Response Team during the
Tier 3 response to the oil spill from the log carrier Jody
F Millennium.
