Marine Pollution Advisor, South Pacific Regional

Nawadra is the Marine Pollution Adviser at the South Pacific Regional
Environment Programme (SPREP). He manages SPREP's Pacific Ocean
Pollution Prevention Programme (PACPOL aimed at addressing shipping
related marine pollution. He also manages the Marine Environment
Protection aspect of the International Maritime Organization's (IMO)
Technical Co-operation Programme in the region.
He has a background in environmental management and
environmental engineering. Prior to SPREP worked as an Environmental
Consultant with Sinclair Knight Merz; Health, Safety and Environment
Manager for Shell covering operations in the South Pacific and with
the Environment and Agriculture Ministries of the Fiji Government.
