Mr Trevor Gilbert
Principal Advisor - Scientific and Environmental, Australian Maritime Safety Authority

Trevor Gilbert is the Principal Adviser, Scientific and Environmental with AMSA and the Environmental Adviser, National Response Team. He has been involved in a number of maritime emergencies and spill responses across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

He is responsible for a variety of projects and initiatives of the National Plan and was seconded for one year to assist the Pacific Ocean Pollution Prevention Program at SPREP funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Prior to AMSA he was the Manager Scientific & Environmental Services at the State Electricity Commission of Victoria responsible for all air, water and land environmental monitoring programs. This followed nine years with CSIRO and 5 years with the State Emergency Services in NSW as Operations Officer then Branch Executive Officer.
