Mr Jim Cripps, IPIECA
Manager Emergency Response & Industry Standards. DPA for Shell International Shipping & Trading Company Ltd

Jim served on a variety of oil, gas and dry bulk vessels throughout a sixteen year career at sea, before coming ashore as a Master Mariner in 1986 to further develop his experience with Shell.

Roles ashore have included Cargo Superintendent, Marine Technical Adviser to the local trading office in Dubai, Head of Commercial Operations, Oil Spill Adviser, and Shipping Consultant to Shell affiliate companies worldwide.

Jim now has a dual role within STASCO of Manager Shipping Emergency Response and Designated Person Ashore. Through this former responsibility, he is currently vice Chair of IPIECA's Oil Spill Working Group.

Jim is married to Gina and lives in north London, UK.
