Divisional Manager Analysis and Strategy
Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand
David Crawford is the Divisional Manager Analysis
and Strategy at the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand.
He has held this position for two years.
Prior to that he was the Divisional Manager Marine Environment
Protection at MSANZ from 1996 to 2000. Prior to joining MSANZ
David was the Executive Director of the Petroleum Exploration
Association and also spent several years working in the Department
of Conservation. In his current position David is responsible
for the analysis of maritime safety and environmental data,
the purchase of marine oil spill preparedness and response
functions from the Marine Pollution Response Services which
in turn includes regional councils, and the annual review
of the MSA Strategic Plan.
