Australian Maritime Safety Authority

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is a regulatory safety agency with the primary role of delivering efficient and effective services to Australia in maritime safety, search and rescue for vessels and aircraft, and protection of the marine environment from ship-sourced pollution.

AMSA is the managing agency of Australia's National Plan to Combat Pollution of the Sea by Oil and Other Noxious and Hazardous Substances.

Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand

The Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand (MSA) is a crown entity, established in 1993 to promote a safe and clean maritime environment. Two of the MSA's key objectives are to prevent all types of ship-sourced marine pollution, and to ensure that New Zealand is prepared for and can respond to marine oil spills.
