The ninth international Spillcon conference returns to Manly, Sydney
in September.
Spillcon 2002, Asia Pacific's premier environmental
pollution prevention and response conference is proudly organised
by the Australian Institute of Petroleum and the Australian Maritime
Safety Authority, two of the key industry and government agencies
in Australia's national arrangements. Spillcon is also endorsed
by IPIECA, IMO, APPEA, MSANZ, AAPMA and ASA.
A highlight of Spillcon 2002 will be the keynote address
from Kay Cottee, world renowned solo yachtswoman,
who will pause in her latest yachting endeavour to bring her thoughts
on the Conference theme "Keeping the Waters Clean". In
addition, as this brochure shows, a wide selection of highest calibre
national and international speakers will
speak to this theme, covering the range of subjects from prevention
through to response experiences.
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition
of response equipment and services suppliers, together with a display
of oil spill response equipment on Sydney Harbour, which delegates
will reach by a specially provided harbour ferry.
Accompanying guests are most welcome, with activities
available listed in this brochure.
On behalf of AIP and AMSA, I have great pleasure in
inviting you and your partner to join us in Manly in September for
this very special event.
